A draft for a truly unique prize

It’s a $1 billion prize for a groundbreaking discovery that adds value to humanity exceeding one world GDP, awarded once every 25 years.

Why is it unique?

A $1 billion prize doesn’t exist.

A prize for a super discovery doesn’t exist.

A prize for contributing one world GDP’s worth of value to humanity doesn’t exist.

An award ceremony held once every 25 years doesn’t exist.

I’m not desperate for sponsors. I’m perfectly fine running this project independently for the next 10 years. That said, I’m open to any kind of help – including sponsorship – to validate and market the idea.

Peter Thiel once said: “The most important question in business is: ‘What valuable company is nobody building?’ To which the follow-up is: ‘Will this still be valuable in the future?’”

But that’s not enough. The next question should be: “How much economic value can this contribute to humanity?”

Until now, the consensus has been: “Value cannot be calculated.” But I’ve proven it can.

The cornerstone of my prize project is to develop a method for calculating the value of a scientific discovery. Only if it exceeds one world GDP ($100 trillion) will the prize be awarded.
